For thousands of years archery has been considered a martial art. A commitment and a practice bringing discipline and within that peace for so many still today. A place and time to bring awareness to the breath, ground yourself in the present moment, trust your intuition, foresee the desired outcome, and take action from there.

In this workshop we‘ll more closely examine the relationship between intuition and foresight in life, relating it to both traditional archery and our masculinity

JARED PARKINSON

Jared is a dedicated alchemist of the natural world. Ranging from weaving, hide tanning, leatherwork, crafting bows and arrows, and much more. He believes we are closest to God when we are in a creative flow state, like unto God. Being immersed in primitive skills when he was just 7 years old under the direction of his matriarchal grandfather is where it all began. An impactful reset occurred when he was 20 while attending wilderness therapy where his joy for creation was refueled. His journey with traditional archery started 15 years ago and his journey as a bowyer began 4 years ago amassing a good number of builds in just 4 years. His time spent crafting and sharing his passions is what brings him a deep sense of peace.

Becoming involved and committed to men’s work, specifically, began in 2024 for Jared. The connections he’s nurtured, the inspiration he’s received, and the healing he has undergone are a few of the reasons he says he continues to walk this path.
