In this workshop we will hold impeccable space for each other, supporting brothers as they learn to wield the sacred sword of their honest voice. James guides the experience with simple techniques and masterful facilitation, creating an unshakeable container that resonates with healthy masculinity. 

In our modern late stage capitalist culture the voice of the male body has been all but stomped out. When do we hear our leaders sing to us? When do we harmonize with a brother? This is often cloistered away in monasteries or musical university programs. What about the rest of us? Here is the truth: We are a singing animal, and all of our male bodies are divine instruments. 

By learning how to freestyle sing as a man you will experience the masculine bravery of stepping fully into your emotions with confidence. Two selves emerge as you explore. One, a vulnerable and sensual voice opening melodic languages of the body. The other self is a strong and powerful masculine container, holding a field of love and protection around your free voice.

James Rian O'Keeffe is a lifelong musician and passionate leader in musical settings. He composes original music and teaches freestyle singing in groups and one-on-one. His penchant for R&B rhythms and expressive singing provide a strong foundation for group singing with a groovy “pocket”. James weaves his own original circle songs into a growing repertoire of popular circle songs.
